Technology HealthSubmit has been
carefully designed for ease-of-use and security.
HIPAA Compliant Security
When practice administrators or patients interact with HealthSubmit,
information is exchanged using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL is a
technology that creates an encrypted link between a web server (HealthSubmit’s
web server) and the patient’s or practice administrator’s browser. The
SSL process ensures that details remain secure during a transmission
or transaction with the HealthSubmit site. A secure transaction is
signified by a padlock in the lower right-hand portion of the browser
and the URL in the address window begins with HTTPS. HTTPS stands for
Secure Hyper Text Transfer Protocol.
Only staff that you authorize can access data on HealthSubmit. The
user’s identity is authenticated with a user ID and password for added
security.
In active user sessions time out automatically and only session
cookies are utilized so that once the SSL connections terminated by a
log out or session time out, the session cookies are also terminated. |
